International Literacy Day

VICS volunteers have been teachers, nurses, carpenters, and other professional and trades people.  We’ve been lucky enough to serve for 2 years.  The young people below are from Olkokola Vocational Technical School in Tanzania.  All have some form of physical disability.  They attend a 16 month course, learning a trade to use in their village when they return home.  Here they are learning basic reading and writing skills necessary to help them start a business.  These amazing, hard-working, energetic, determined young people are taught by equally amazing teachers skilled in teaching people with physical disabilities.  It’s an amazing school!
