MEXICO

In-country volunteer, Francisco, is managing  the Spiritan Development Centre in Mexico.  The Centre supports the growth of indigenous culture and language.

In-country volunteer, Cecilia, is the Coordinator for Pastoral Care of the Sick at the Centre of the Immaculate Conception, Tampico, Mexico.

Isidro manages Talita Kum,  a small business in Tampico, Mexico. that makes candles for church and private use.  Part of the proceeds help provide medical assistance to those who can’t afford it.

Three in-country volunteers, Maria, Francisco and Carolina, are working as support staff at Talita Kum, Tampico, Mexico.

In-country volunteer Anita provides house support for the Spiritan priests.

Nicaragua

Ashley Rerrie from Nova Scotia is serving as Country Director for Casa Pueblito in Managua, Nicaragua.

Three  in-country volunteer teachers, two in-country admin staff and one in-country cook work at Hogar Luceros del Amanecer in Camoapa.

Sierra Leone

Sixteen in-country volunteer teachers work at Kissi Bendu Secondary School.

Five in-country volunteers teach at Turadu Primary School.

Tanzania

VICS continues to support 11 in-country volunteer teachers and 3 support staff at Olkokola, Tanzania.  This school teaches trades to young people with physical handicaps, providing them an opportunity to be self sufficient.

Kenya

In-country volunteer Christine teaches at Olooserian Primary School.

Ethiopia

Canadian volunteer, Maureen, is currently posted to Ethiopia.

Uganda

In-country volunteer Jeska is the social worker for the Mirembe Project.

Maria is the in-country volunteer accountant for the Mirembe Project.
