World Water Week

This past week has been World Water Week.  It’s been a time for people to consider all aspects of water use in the world.  For VICS, our connection has been working directly with people to ensure they have access to clean water. We’ve been honoured to work with so many people:

…with women from Santa Julia Women’s Project in Nicaragua, supporting them with funds to plant trees, thus ensuring that soil around their new well will not erode…

…with staff and students from Kissi Bendu School in Sierra Leone.  For the first time in many years, they have access to water on the school grounds…

…and the Turadu well project in Sierra Leone, now eliminating the need to walk long distances to the river for water.
